information about your unit. From this section, you may also book available
time on your unit for your personal use.
We value our partnerships with our owners, and we recognize the fact
that good relationships require effective communications. To help us in
welcoming you or your guests, please note in your “booking” message, the name
of the guest and any requests for services such as opening, security check or
cleaning.
We
provide to you, our property owners, the most detailed and personalized service
available. We build our business on the
foundation of truth and constantly strive to stay on the cutting edge of
technology and education. We believe this translates into superior service.

VACATION RENTAL SERVICES INFORMATION
Additional Charges: Cleaning
after owners or owner guests if not left “rent ready” or upon request. Charges for repairs, maintenance, annual
inspections, etc.(See fee schedule in Contract
Amendment.)
Included in Management Fees: Cleaning
after paying guests. Basic cleaning supplies, replacement of
batteries in smoke detectors, replacement of light bulbs, paper towels, toilet
paper and periodic cleaning of bath mats.
Promotion, advertising and vacation rental bookings,
fee collections, openings and security checks.
HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT
Big Bear Management limits our inventory of vacation rentals
to around 50 so that we can provide personalized and flexible services to our
owners. We allow owners to rent out
their properties, themselves, if they wish and, in those cases, will only
charge for any specific requested services.
We also offer discounts on our management fees for referrals directly
from owners.
We personally check in all guests and do not contract out or
delegate security checks. Security
checks are done by either of the owners, Jane or Art Tomchik. We talk with all potential guests, even if
they have booked online.
We have a dedicated cleaning crew who work primarily for us so
that they become well acquainted with the properties and help us with caring
for them.
We will work with owners to secure longer term bookings if
they are interested and will develop special promotions for individual properties
if requested.

We advertise in several Big
Bear guides and maps. Most of our
advertising dollars are invested in purchasing position on search engines,
primarily through Overture.com. We also subscribe to a Search Engine
enhancement service that works to increase “natural” search results.
We are members of the Big
Bear Lake Resort Association and participate in many of their promotions and
special offers.
